Our lessons take place live online through the platform Zoom. Your tutor will guide you through warm-ups, technique, pieces, and everything else they would do in an in-person lesson.

Yes! Online lessons are highly effective when they are taught clearly and set up properly.
For many students, online lessons also make it significantly easier to fit music into a busy week.

Currently, we offer lessons in Piano and Singing, with more instruments coming soon.

The only extra equipment you need for online lessons is a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone.
For piano lessons, it is essential that you have your own piano or keyboard, however if you do not have one, or are worried that yours is not suitable, please still be in touch and we can discuss the options available.

Yes, we offer a £20 trial lesson so that students can meet the tutor, discuss goals, try the online lesson format, and decide whether Archway Music is the right fit.
If it doesn’t work out, there is no obligation to continue with further lessons afterwards.

Lesson lengths vary depending on the student’s age, level and goals. Standard durations are 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
When you contact us to book a trial lesson, we will help you select what length lesson is right for you.

Archway Music teaches children, teenagers and adults. For younger students, the right starting age depends on the student’s ability to focus for the lesson duration.
We generally do not recommend the online lesson format for students under the age of 8. However, exceptions may be made under certain circumstances. Please contact us with any questions regarding this.

Yes, where appropriate. Our tutors do not pressure students into taking grades, and many students prefer to learn for enjoyment and personal progress.
However, if graded exams are something you are interested in, our tutors will happily support you through all the necessary requirements to take your exam.

Yes, all tutors teaching with Archway Music are required to have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check.

Our trial lessons are £20.
Regular lesson prices range between £22 and £45 depending on instrument, duration and tutor experience.
