Lesson Types

The piano is one of the most versatile instruments in the world, so whether you want to learn Beethoven, Billy Joel or Beyoncé, Archway has got you covered!

As long as your tutor can hear you play and see your hands clearly, they’ll be able to help you develop at a pace that matches your experience, age and goals.

Lessons can cover note reading, rhythm, technique, scales, chords, theory, improvisation, performance confidence, practice habits, and of course, learning your favourite songs or pieces.

Singing Lessons

Vocal music is one of the cornerstones of music as a whole, and for good reason - singing is humanity’s built in musical instrument!

Our singing lessons help student develop healthy vocal technique, confidence and musical expression, in whatever style best captures your musical interest.

Lessons can include warm-ups, breathing, pitch, tone, range, performance skills, song interpretation and preparation for performances or exams.

Lesson Structure

How Online Lessons Work

Lessons take place live on Zoom. All our tutors have excellent audio/visual setups so you can see and hear them clearly, including multiple camera angles for piano teachers.

Your tutors will guide you through warm-ups, technique, practice tasks, and pieces just as they would in an in-person lesson.

Online lessons work best when the student has a quiet place, a stable internet connection and device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, laptop etc.). For piano lessons, students will also need access to a piano or keyboard.

After each lesson, students are given clear feedback and practice guidance, so they know what to work on before their next session.
